Well folks it’s almost that time again.
We’ll know today after NASA’s Flight Readiness Review (FRR) meeting the official launch date of Space Shuttle Discovery on mission STS-133 AND the dates for the STS-133 NASATweetup 2.0 🙂
If you didn’t know (and if you know me then how could you not?) I was selected for a special meetup at a Space Shuttle launch for Twitter followers of NASA (https://twitter.com/NASA and https://twitter.com/NASATweetup). Originally scheduled for October 31 and November 1, 2010, due to technical difficulties we did not see a launch. However we got to see some things that most “normals” don’t get to see – behind-the-scenes access to many of the facilities at Kennedy Space Center, including the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB).
Well now that all of the technical difficulties have been resolved it’s time to do it again! We get to watch the launch from the NASA Press Site next to the famous launch clock at Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Launch_Complex_39_Press_Site).
I’ll be leaving early next week and can’t wait to see all Tweetup family again! Check my Twitter and Flickr streams for all the latest updates. I’ll be also streaming live when I can on my Ustream and Justin.tv pages (http://www.ustream.tv/user/djflux and http://www.justin.tv/djflux).
C ya soon,
Flux
